With the St Louis Cardinals 6-1 win over the Chicago Cubs yesterday, the Padres have been mathematically eliminated from the postseason.
Which means I really never got to use this:
So, I guess I'll just have to go with the inspiration for the title...
Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying the season is over. Granted, there's only 9 games left, but still. The Padres have a good shot at ruining the Dodgers chances at making the postseason. And the Brewers better watch out next week.
And we have a lot to look forward to going into next season.
